Made in the UK Solid copper saddlers or hose rivets with washers Size 10 gauge x 1/2 inch 3.3mm shaft x 13mm long with a 9mm head and washer Setting tool is also made in the UK Rustproof, heavy-duty permanent fastening How to Set a Rivet Punch holes slightly larger than the rivet being set. Place rivet, post up, through both holes in the leather. Place washer on the rivet. Use the rivet setting tool’s straight hole to drive the washer down tight against the material. Cut the rivet off close to the washer with nippers (wire cutters work fine for this). Do not cut off flush with the washer, but leave about 1/16 of an inch above the burr. Place the concave recess of the setter on the washer. Hold perpendicular and strike the tool forcefully, turning to the left then right as you strike. This spreads the end of the rivet over the washer, simultaneously rounding its end. A few extra blows from the soft faced mallet can be used to flatten the rivet end a bit if desired.
